Meet Karen…she is a Recruitment Consultant on the lively Care desk. We decided that now would be a good opportunity to learn more about the wonderful people that make up Connect2Hampshire. We also wanted to find out how they are copying working from home during this pandemic. Second up in our 'Meet the Team' series we have Karen, so let’s see what she had to say below;
What does a day in your role look like?
My day is always very busy, it's very fast paced and ever changing. I love that it’s always busy as it makes the day go very quick!
What do you most enjoy about your job at Connect2Hampshire and why?
What I enjoy most about my job is being able to help people. I like helping people find new jobs or helping care homes with cover so the residents are well cared for gives me a great sense of achievement.
How are you finding it working from home and what is your top tip for working from home?
I didn’t enjoy working from home to start with but now I have a routine and I’m more organised with my day so I am finding it much better now. My top tip is to try to be very organised and plan out your day as best you can.
How do you stay in touch with colleagues?
Through Microsoft Teams, emails and WhatsApp.
What Connect2Hampshire value do you most identify with and why?
I’m a very caring person and it’s a great value to have especially when working in a care team.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Catching up with friends and family.
